Role Type: Permanent Salary : £55,000 per annum Hybrid – 2 days' work from Telford office Job description Collaborate with architects and clients to establish cloud economics tools and platforms based on Federal and Industry Cloud(specifically AWS) FinOps best practices.
Develop agency and program specific framework for FinOps principals, personas (roles), domains (areas of focus) and roadmap for Cloud(specifically AWS) FinOps to provide financial recommendations for cloud usage.
Collaborate with staff on cloud(specifically AWS) improvements.
Create and present financial models and reports.
Continuously monitor cost of services and perform Total Cost of Ownership studies.
Manage central financial control centre to promote cost transparency.
Identify and categorize services by sub-accounts.
Help develop the billing and analytics engines of the centralized decision-making portal.
Meet with individual customers to review and optimize their specific cloud instance spend as directed by the Government.
Required Qualifications: WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED • Education: Bachelor degree • Required Experience: 10+ years of experience with IT systems to include 5+ years of experience with cloud systems; 3+ years of cloud financial/economics experience; 3+ years of project experience in a multi-cloud environment / AWS • Required Skills And Abilities: • Knowledge of specific FinOps tools such as KION, Apptio, CloudChkr and cloud native cost optimization tools • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience working with stakeholders and development teams.
• Strong communication skills, oral and written, to convey cloud technologies and solutions to customer personnel.
• Experience with relational databases, data extraction, and data analysis tools.. • Understanding of industry best practices related to Cloud resource tagging and tagging enforcement through automation.
