We are seeking a skilled AWS Cloud Engineer to focus on building and maintaining customer environments in AWS.
The engineer will have a strong knowledge of AWS Well-Architected Framework and best practices.
They will work alongside our Cloud team, and our engineering disciplines on both new deployments and in supporting existing environments.
Proven experience working with core AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM •Proven experience working with core AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM and DirectConnect.
•A good understanding of AWS backup solutions, and resiliency/DR strategies.
•Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments, including IAM roles, encryption, and firewall configurations.
•Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as AWS CloudWatch, AWS Config, and CloudTrail.
•Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments, including IAM roles, policies, and a high-level understanding of AWS Security tools and their use-cases.
•Some familiarity with Linux/Unix administration in the context of cloud infrastructure.
•Existing AWS certifications, or the knowledge & drive to attain relevant certifications quickly (certification costs will be covered by Options).
•Working with Solution Architects and Sales Engineers to deploy AWS environments for customers, leveraging IaC where possible.
•Configure and integrate native, or third-party, tools for monitoring, security and administration.
•Assist in optimizing AWS environments for cost, performance, and availability.
•Strong research, writing and communication skills.
•Desire to travel and see the world.
•Ability to work independently and manage your own projects in a professional manner.

•Project management skills and proven ability to manage own workload.
