Our UXV navigation co-pilot system operates autonomously in challenging environments without GPS or navigation signals, with applications in both civil and military sectors.
We're seeking a Systems Engineer ready to make a real impact!
With experience in delivering cutting-edge drone or robotics-based products. In this role you'll report to the CTO and work closely with the tech team and Project Manager to drive the design and delivery of innovative UXV co-pilot systems.
You'll be at the forefront of defining system requirements, architecture, and modelling, ensuring compliance and pushing the boundaries of autonomous systems.  Your work will be integral to delivering reliable, game-changing solutions to end users, feature releases bringing up closer to transforming the future of autonomous technology.

Location This is an office-based role in Oxford and applicants must be able to be present on site 5 days a week.
There will be occasional opportunities to travel for flight trials and integrations.
Overseas travel may be required (USA, Northern Europe, South America, Southeast Asia, East Africa), though this is not compulsory.
What You'll Do: Manage and execute the system design process for UXV Autonomous Navigation systems, including performing system and subsystem trade studies.
Define and track system requirements from use case definition to subsystem/component requirement derivation, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
Establish and maintain system architecture that meets the required specifications.
Develop and manage technical budgets (e.g., link, errors, mass, volume, and power).
Develop models, tools, and processes to facilitate design, implementation, testing, integration, and validation of new system features.
Collaborate with the team and Project Manager to manage technical risks.
Interface with customers, partners, suppliers, and subcontractors on technical matters.
Mentor and coach team members to help them succeed and grow.
Contribute to the growth of the company by improving systems, processes, and tools.
What We're Looking For: Proven experience in designing and developing UAV, UXV, autonomous driving, or aerospace systems, including architecture and product tree.
Experience in delivering embedded software-hardware products from requirements to traceable verification and validation.
Strong technical and analytical skills with a first-principles approach to problem-solving.
Understanding of the full engineering lifecycle.
Right to work in the UK and the ability to undergo full security clearance (SC).
Bonus Skills (not required but a plus): Experience with concurrent design activities and tools Experience with model-based design and tools such as MBSE, Simulink, UML and/or SysML Relevant degree in Maths, Physics ,Engineering or Computer Science Experience with Position, Navigation and Timing (PNT) systems architectures Experience designing and developing UAV, UXV, autonomous driving, aerospace systems Strong experience with embedded software systems design and OO software architecture fundamentals Experience with simulation of complex dynamic systems Awareness of typical robotics sensors (IMU, GPS/GNSS, LIDAR, RADAR, Cameras, etc.)
Working knowledge of flight controllers, ground control systems (GCS) and other flight-critical or safety-critical systems Experience working in a start-up or small team environment where you might not have readily available support & resources Experience developing products for defence/aerospace or similar applications What's Next?  Excited to join us?
