Key Responsibilities: Design and develop control systems tailored for automated processes, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
Write, test, and maintain PLC software using industry-standard programming languages (e.g., ladder logic, structured text).
Utilise AutoCAD for designing control panel layouts and electrical schematics.
Oversee the installation and commissioning of control panels and PLC systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of existing control systems, identifying and resolving issues effectively.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including Functional Design Specifications (FDS) and project reports.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met and aligned with company standards.
Qualifications: Time Served / City and Guilds Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
TUV or CMSE qualification would be highly advantageous.
Proven experience in PLC programming and control system design, with hands-on experience in installation and maintenance.
Proficiency in AutoCAD for designing electrical schematics and control panel layouts.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
Desirable Skills: Familiarity with Siemens, Schneider and Allen Bradley PLCs.
Experience with combustion / burner controls.
Experience in industries such as manufacturing, food processing, or energy.
