We are recruiting for a client in Northwich known for their commitment to innovation, safety, and operational excellence.
They are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join their team and drive impactful improvements across their cutting-edge production facility.
The Role As an Automation Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of optimising automated processes and ensuring smooth, efficient operations.
You'll work closely with the EC&I and production teams to identify, design, and implement automation solutions that support high-quality standards, enhance productivity, and promote sustainability.
Key Responsibilities - Design, implement, and maintain automation systems to improve process efficiency and reliability.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues with control systems, PLCs, and SCADA systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to develop and implement automation solutions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in process optimization projects.
- Maintain and update technical documentation, including PLC programs, electrical drawings, and user manuals.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout all automation processes.
Ideal Candidate Profile - Bachelor's degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in an automation engineering role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming, SCADA systems, and automation technologies.
- Familiarity with control systems such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Rockwell is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and system optimization.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
