We are looking for a considerate and understanding Support Worker to join our community support team in Kinson, Bournemouth.

Due to the needs of the person we support, we can only consider candidates with experience with Autism or Complex Care, supporting people on a 2:1 basis.
You will need to have a Full UK driving license, however, access to your own vehicle is not essential.
Unfortunately, this is not a position that we can offer sponsorship for, under the skilled worker route.
The role
You would be supporting Archie a male in his late 20's that is non-verbal.
Archie relies heavily on sign-a-long and various communication tools such as PECS board to articulate what he wants to say and do.
He has a carefully planned daily schedule, created to provide structure and enjoyment.
Everyday is different, whether this be going for a walk to the shop to buy a coke or flapjack, getting out in his motability car to go for a drive in the forest or beach, enjoying a game of bowling or even having a carvery!
As a service we are always looking for new opportunities for Archie to be out and apart of his local community.
When at home, Archie enjoys a range of activities such as solving puzzles, completing activity books, enjoying a foot spa and listening to relaxing music.
At the heart of everything we do is promoting the independence of the person we support, and ensuring we have a relaxed, empathetic and encouraging team working with us helps us achieve this.
A day in the life of a Support Worker would include:
Sharing your skills and life knowledge with the people we support to enable good life skills and independence when living in the community Maintaining consistent and accurate records regarding care plans, finances, appointments and medication Following the support plan in plan for each person we support to enable the person to feel comfortable and happy, adapting this as required based on change in behaviour Providing some elements of personal care from personal hygiene prompts, helping to bath and wash, medication
Hours:
We deliver a 24/7 service and have various full and part time hours available to suit your needs.
To support Archie's package the hours would ideally be within 8am - 4pm or 4pm - 10pm with one sleep in a week between Monday - Sunday.
