Role Benefits: Competitive salary with term-time working hours Professional development opportunities focused on ASC support A supportive, collaborative team dedicated to SEN best practices Autism Support Assistant Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group support for children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) in a specialist Primary provision in Hammersmith & Fulham.
Implement structured activities to foster skills in communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation.
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to create a tailored learning experience for each child.
Promote sensory-friendly learning strategies that help children feel comfortable and engaged in the classroom.
Offer continuous support throughout the school day, encouraging independence and confidence in the students.
Collaborate with families and external professionals to provide a holistic approach to student development.
Autism Support Assistant Requirements: Proven experience as an Autism Support Assistant or in a similar SEN role, ideally within a Primary school setting.
Strong understanding of Autism and experience with strategies that support social communication and sensory needs.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the patience and empathy to engage with children on the Autism spectrum.
An organised and proactive approach to delivering personalised support plans.
Location: Based in Hammersmith & Fulham, a well-connected area with a vibrant, diverse community.
Start Date: Immediate start available for the successful Autism Support Assistant candidate.
