We are looking for Teaching Assistants to join us from January on a full time basis.
This will start as a temporary role through our trusted recruitment partner and will become a permanent role. About the School: We are a specialised school providing tailored support to students with Autism and social, emotional and mental health needs.
We aim to provide our secondary aged pupils with a nurturing and inclusive environment focused on holistic development.
Our team of dedicated staff are committed to empowering students and fostering a positive learning experience. All of our pupils have been excluded from mainstream school and are aged 11-16 years old.
We provide a GCSE curriculum for those able to study up to this level.
Our small class sizes enable additional support to help pupils reach their full potential. Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with Autism and Social, emotional and mental health needs Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies Support students in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other staff to meet the needs of students effectively Requirements: Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs is desirable You MUST have a visa to work in the UK (we are not able to offer sponsorship) Strong understanding of Autism and SEMH and its impact on learning and behaviour Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Patience, empathy, and resilience in supporting students with diverse needs Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one Benefits: Competitive pay rate of £12.90 per hour Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with SEMH needs Supportive and collaborative team environment Ongoing training and professional development opportunities Chance to work in a rewarding and fulfilling role within the field of SEN education If you are passionate about supporting students with SEMH needs and are seeking a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact, we want to hear from you!
