The Role: Our client is looking for a technically minded AV Technician who will be responsible for both remote and on site support of a major UK contract supporting interactive monitors. The role will be predominantly working with customers to address any issues they have with their technology via email, phone & visits. Outside of this you will have the opportunity to work in other areas of the business, working with both the Network cabling teams and stock management, enabling you learn a number of other key responsibilities vital to the business operation.
You will be responsible for the support & repair of a range of interactive touchscreen monitors. You will be responsible for both remote (phone & email) and on site technical support. Repairs will be carried out in a modular component fashion ranging from hardware swap outs, to software & firmware upgrades. You will be required to drive the company van (Transit size) along with all relevant tools and equipment. Alongside your AV repair work, you will also work alongside our cabling department, assisting our cabling team on a multitude of new construction installation projects. Additionally to your repair & installation work, you will also be required to help manage stock & warehouse activity. Skills and Person Specification Technically astute (Good understanding of AV, Windows etc). Confident with hardware repairs (e.g. to open a monitor/pc and replace components). Willingness to get involved in Cabling/Hardware installations etc. when not busy with AV repairs. Full UK driving license. Willing to travel / stay away (UK only) when required. Desirable Skills Experience driving a Ford transit style van Previous experience in Store/stock management
