About the role As an Attendance Officer, you will be responsible for administrative support to promote whole-school attendance.
Your goal will be to improve attendance levels and reduce persistent absence, in line with the academy's targets.
Working under the supervision of the Attendance Manager/Education Welfare Officer, you will: Duties and Responsibilities: Hold meetings with students regarding their attendance and mentor them to engage with their education Work closely with families and external organisations to support students and address attendance issues Implement attendance monitoring and reporting systems to identify and address patterns of absence Liaise with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to promote the importance of regular attendance Collaborate with the pastoral team to identify and support students at risk of persistent absence Maintain accurate attendance records and generate reports as needed Assist with the implementation of the academy's attendance policies and procedures Required Skills and Experience: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and external agencies Solution-focused mindset with the ability to motivate and support students Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities Experience in a similar attendance or pastoral support role (desirable) Commitment to improving outcomes for all students If you are interested in this position and have the necessary skills and experience, please submit your application.
