Leigh Academy Hugh Christie is seeking a dedicated Attendance Officer to help us ensure every student benefits from a full and enriching education.
As our Attendance Officer, you'll play a vital role in improving student attendance, supporting families, and working closely with staff to ensure all students thrive.

In this dynamic and rewarding position, you'll: Monitor and improve attendance: Use your analytical skills to track attendance trends, identify issues, and develop effective strategies to improve punctuality and reduce absence rates.
Engage with families: Build strong relationships with parents and carers, offering support and guidance to overcome barriers to attendance.
Collaborate with staff: Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and senior leaders to implement attendance policies and ensure a consistent approach across the academy.
Ensure compliance: Keep accurate and up-to-date records, produce reports, and ensure attendance processes align with safeguarding and legal requirements.
Inspire positive change: Help students understand the value of regular attendance and its impact on their future success.
We're looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
The ideal candidate will be empathetic and understanding, offering support to families while maintaining a focus on student success.
You'll bring initiative and problem-solving abilities to overcome attendance challenges and have strong administrative skills to manage data and records accurately.
Experience in education or a similar setting is preferred but not essential.

This is a permanent opportunity, working 36.5 hours per week, term time + 1 week of inset and offers an actual salary of £20,072 - £22,128 per annum (£23,656 - £26,079 full-time equivalent), based on experience.
