Job summary An opportunity has arisen within the North Essex Crisis Response Team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high quality, patient centred, compassionate care under the direction of a registered nurse with a focus on promoting health and independence.
Main duties of the job This role is a largely telephone based role, answering calls from patients who are in crisis, helping to de-escalate them in that time of need, to safety plan and organise assessment if needed.
They will have opportunity to attend assessments alongside registered clinicians and development is expected to be ongoing with progression supported to become registered clinicians themselves in line with their own ambitions.
They will be professionally accountable and work as part of a designated clinical and care team delivering care that focuses on the direct needs of the individual.
Nursing Associate carry out specific clinical and care tasks and responsibilities to a high standard and competency, under the direction of a registered nurse and have the ability to work without direct supervision, at times delivering care independently in line with the individual's defined plan of care, within the parameters of practice of the Nursing Associate role.
The responsibility of the postholder is to participate in the planning and delivery of individual care provided by the multi-disciplinary team.
They work independently under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, providing holistic evidenced based high quality care to patients and will be accountable for their actions.
They will supervise and delegate appropriately to support staff within the team and they will support and supervise students and learners who are on placement.

Person Specification Qualifications & Experience Essential Associate Practitioner qualification Desirable Experience of liaising and working within a team.
Knowledge & Understanding Essential Basic understanding of mental health condition and its effect on day to day living.
Desirable An understanding of the roles of multi-professional team members.
