We're seeking a future team member fortherole Associate, Line of Business Risk II to join our Operational Risk Team.  
àThis role is located in Manchester, UK – Hybrid (3 days / week in office).
This second line of defense role will contribute to the ongoing execution of the elements of the Operational Risk Management Framework. The employee will be responsible for the ongoing independent oversight and challenge of operational risk management activities of the first line of defense. process change risk assessments and operational risk reporting for an assigned business or functional group.
In this Associate role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: 
Support engagement with the assigned Line of Business or Corporate Function, building relationships and driving first line of defense ownership of operational risk.
Contribute to the identification, assessment, mitigation, monitoring and reporting of operational risk inherent to business activities and effectiveness of the control environment.
Support the assigned Line of Business or Corporate Function's adherence to the Operational Risk Management Framework, including the execution and maintenance of Risk & Control Self Assessments, Operational Risk Limits, Operational Risk Events and Business Process Change risk assessments. 

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: 
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) is required (preferably with a focus in Business, Finance, Math, Computer Science).
Some experience in a global, financial, or professional services firm. Risk management and/or data analytics experience is preferred but not required.
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills and ability to work with data and identify risk trends, patterns, and concentrations. 
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) with ability to articulate clearly views and recommendations.
Collaborative and team-oriented, demonstrating ability to interact and engage with a diverse group of people in a variety of functions, across the world.
Results-oriented, able to work with high productivity in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines and competing priorities.
Fully Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Tableau.
Preferred skills: SQL, Python
