Associate Director of Innovation - Our client is an established corporate services conglomerate working within financial Services - covering Diversified Financial Services, corporate services and alternative assets.
Employing circa 1500 employees across multiple continents.
Due to year-on-year organic growth our client is actively seeking an experienced Associate Director of Innovation to work in unison with the Director of innovation to conceptualise and drive the delivery of new innovative products/services that will be profitable - enabling the business to accelerate their global expansion.
As the preferred applicant you will have current/previous experience of working within a dynamic - fast-paced environment - developing commercially viable, innovative data-centric products and services through user involvement, with a strong end-to-end business understanding.
As a strategic thinker you will have an entrepreneurial mindset, that will enable you to identify and develop relationships with potential technology partners - as well as support marketing activities to generate interest in new propositions.
Key responsibilities: Develop and expand a pipeline of unique innovative products and services to generate new revenue streamsBuild synergy with internal marketing, legal, compliance and client-facing teamsIdentifying and evaluate disruptive technologies that can build value for the businessCommercialisation of innovationsGo to Market strategy/executionDevelop technology commercialisation plans - including early-stage commercialisation strategies and value proposition validationIdentify & develop relationships with potential technology partners and support marketing activities to generate interest in new propositionsNegotiate commercial agreements with vendors, partners and clientsPrepare business plans, develop and execute implementation plansEvaluate new innovations and business opportunities for commercial potential, including conducting market research and competitor analysisDevelop project plans and execute evidence-generating activities that build innovation value and advance innovation projects toward commercialisationSolution experiments, product prototyping and validation testingRequirementsSkills, knowledge, expertise: Degree/MSc Educated or have sufficient relevant commercial experienceExperience working in an incubator/startup/Innovation environment within a medium to large global organisation - preferably financial servicesHands-on experience of designing and developing data-centric digital products and monetising with clientsExperience in testing new propositions; you master agile, design thinking and lean techniques for user involvement throughout the development processesHighly developed collaboration and engagement techniques, able to motivate and communicate to "sell the dream" of new ideas.Good project management and change management skills, combined with a "can-do" attitude and the drive to follow-through on ideasExperience in innovation scouting and ideally in an Innovation team/hub/lab/functionHighly developed inter-personal skills with demonstrated ability to identify & develop relationships with potential technology partners, colleagues, collaborators and clientsComfortable producing financial modelling for business casing and funding requestsLegal or contractual experience with clear understanding of licenses &/or collaboration agreementsExperienced in growth and innovation, with strong examples of growing businesses by building and delivering innovative propositionsExperience of IP generation and protection, structural partnership formations and commercial collaborations is highly desirable.The Successful applicant will be rewarded with a competitive salary and excellent benefits package that includes:
