Evelyn Partners manages investments for clients in a variety of product formats, including discretionary private client portfolios and regulated Funds.
Reporting to the Head of Investment Risk, the role will have lead responsibility for ensuring the provision of Fund risk analytics is effective and supports better decision making.
The role will also support the provision of private client portfolio risk analytics, which are being implemented starting 2024.
There will be a requirement to provide periodic product reviews with opinion as well as supporting the development of internal controls and limits.
Close collaboration with senior stakeholders in the central investment team, committees, investment managers as well as operational and oversight functions will be essential.
There will be extensive opportunity for ad-hoc project and analytical work.
Key systems include but are not limited to Bloomberg, Morningstar, Aladdin Wealth, XPlan.
Key ResponsibilitiesFund risk analytics subject matter expert and owner (including market risk, liquidity, scenarios, performance analysis metrics sourced from our third-party vendor).Private Client portfolio risk analytics subject matter expert (including exposures, market risk, scenarios sourced from our third-party vendor).Responsibility for identifying and recommending changes to risk analytics required in response to evolving best practice and regulation.Working with the Fund Operations team (for Fund analytics) to drive the implementation of any required changes.Working with the Investment Oversight team and governance committees (for Private Client analytics) to propose any required changes.Provision of portfolio construction advice and support to Fund Managers.Production and presentation of periodic product reviews with investment opinion to internal committees.Supporting the recommendation of investment limits and thresholds to internal governance bodies.Ad hoc projects and analyses.Key Skills and ExperienceRelevant experience in an analytical, quantitative, risk management or equivalent role.Experience of multi-asset class investments and financial markets in asset management, wealth management, consulting or equivalent roles.Knowledge of risk decompositions, risk sensitivities, scenarios and risk limits.Experience of third-party portfolio analytics systems (Bloomberg, Aladdin, Morningstar etc) would be helpful.Experience of SQL, Python, VBA etc would be helpful but not essential.Excellent attention to detail.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong written and face-to-face communications skills with the ability to influence.QualificationsDegree in Finance Related and/or quantitative subject.CFA/FRM helpful but not required.Additional InformationAs a colleague here at Evelyn Partners, you will have access to benefits that include: Private medical insuranceLife assurancePension contributionGenerous holiday packageOption to purchase additional holidayShared parental leaveWe are proud to value the differences that a diverse workforce brings, representative of society and our clients.
