Associate Director - EIA Team

A reputable international consultancy firm is seeking an Associate Director to join their Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) team, with positions available in London, Manchester, or Edinburgh.
This role offers the chance to engage with some of the most exciting Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects in the UK and internationally, including large-scale energy ventures such as solar, offshore wind, international interconnector, and energy storage projects.
The firm collaborates with major energy companies and boasts a strong track record in renewables, transport, and net zero carbon initiatives, ensuring a steady workflow across these sectors.

Role Responsibilities: Lead and manage large Development Consent Order (DCO) projects or multiple smaller Town and Country Planning Act (TCPA) EIA projects.Oversee the EIA team, ensuring high-quality services and compliance with legislative requirements.Act as the primary stakeholder contact for prominent EIA projects in the UK.Provide expert advice on legislative requirements, good practice, budget, and programme management.Coordinate EIA consultations and Expert Working Groups.Sign off on Environmental Statement (ES) documents for stakeholder or legal review.Mentor and manage team members, fostering professional growth.Develop and implement digital EIA solutions.Prepare bid/tender documents in collaboration with the bid team. Candidate Profile: Extensive experience managing EIA projects, particularly DCO and renewable infrastructure projects.Strong report writing and review skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and liaise with stakeholders' legal teams and other consultancies.Proven track record in overseeing large EIA projects and ensuring compliance with EIA Regulations and the Planning Act.Detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting techniques.Willingness to travel for stakeholder meetings.Previous experience with digital EIA techniques is desirable.A first degree in a relevant environmental subject, ideally complemented by an MSc in Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Management, or a similar field.A full UK driving licence is required.How to Apply: Interested candidates are invited to submit their CV via the link provided.
