The team oversees media relations activity in 10 countries / territories on behalf of Federated Hermes.
This 12 month maternity cover role is as communications business partner for the Public Markets business of Federated Hermes Limited (Equity, Fixed Income and the stewardship business, EOS – all of which are based in London) covering media engagement and internal communications In addition, the role includes oversight of PR agencies in Europe.
The candidate will work closely and collaboratively with the existing team and report to the Head of Global Corporate Communications.
Experience Required: Experience in public relations (in-house or agency) within financial services, preferably in asset management A strong understanding of the European investment media landscape, with emphasis on UK Experience working with PR agencies.
Enthusiastic team player with strong stakeholder management experience Effective planning and organisational skills Minimum knowledge & experience required Experience working in corporate or agency news environments Demonstrable experience in all aspects of media relations – successfully pitching story ideas to media, writing press releases and by-line articles, strong media contacts, strong issues management experience Articulate in function of financial markets and in investment industry in particular.
Experience working with senior internal stakeholders Non essential but beneficial knowledge & experience required Experience of corporate environment Candidate Profile: You will thrive in a fast moving environment, which comprises multiple demands and challenges but offers the opportunity to deliver considerable value to the business.
