Your role as an Assistant Treasurer (Treasury Operations) will be responsible for efficient management and reporting of day-to-day Treasury operational activity, global cash management, and all operational banking. You will also lead on foreign exchange and other market risk management for the Group, as well as provide Treasury operational support for Banners (such as B&Q & Screwfix).
What's the jobResponsible for cash & liquidity management, including ensuring that surplus cash is effectively identified and invested, and associated counterparty and currency risk is managed in line with the Group Treasury Policy (GTP).Propose hedging strategies for transactional and translational FX risk and execute as appropriate in line with the GTP.Responsible for Group operational banking arrangements and facilities including overdrafts, cash pooling, guarantee lines, trade finance, and for ensuring proper use in line with GTP.Maintain GTP and monitor compliance around the Group. Develop the Policy to ensure consistency with current requirements and best practice. Recommend appropriate revisions to Policy to the CFO and Finance Committee and manage approval process.Prepare monthly Treasury Report for Finance Committee, including key KPIs to monitor & benchmark operational performance.Prepare quarterly CFO Dashboard, including forward-looking analysis of key Treasury items.Work with the Assistant Treasurer (Corporate Finance) to ensure that all Banner financing needs are met and that they have efficient operational Treasury and banking arrangements.What you'll bringSubstantial experience working in a Corporate Treasury function, ideally within a large, international corporate environment.AMCT qualified and/or qualified accountant desirable.Good technical skills, numerate, accurate, and organised.Effective people manager (managing a team of 3), strong coaching ability, and excellent interpersonal skills.Proficient communicator, numerate, methodical, and organised with attention to detail.Core ValuesBe Customer Focused - constantly improving our customers' experience I listen to my customersI use available data to help make decisionsBe Human - acting with humanity and care
