We are looking for talented individuals to join our Hertfordshire team.
You'll be assisting and supporting the Transport Manager in leading a quality passenger transport service in the area.

Key Responsibilities Support the Manager in delivering full transport services, recording through the Cordic computer system.
Monitor driving and passenger assistant staffing to ensure a full complement of staff are always available to fulfil the needs of the service.
Line manage all employed Passenger Assistants, providing guidance, support and coaching throughout their employment.
Amend and submit timesheets for direct reports where amendments are required, for example due to sickness absence or overtime worked, using the HR & Payroll system.
Ensure Passenger Assistants are regularly completing applicable multimedia training using the Atlas system, as well as the enrolment of any additional courses required as part of their role.
Observe and ensure continual adherence of safeguarding policies and procedures by both yourself and direct reports.
Carry out routine on-the-job monitoring both on the road and at school's, day centres and other locations served, feeding back any areas of concern to the Transport Manager.
Complete investigation meetings and procedures in accordance with the disciplinary and grievance policy.
Where applicable, complete, review and update risk assessments of transport routes and service users, and communicate these to applicable individuals.
Communicate with service users, parents, carers, clients and other stakeholders in a patient, informative and professional manner.
Ensure vehicle defects are reported in line with the relevant process and procedure.
Ensure all communication equipment is correctly utilised ensuring the safe, smooth and efficient running of the service.
Regularly complete spot-checks of internal and external vehicle cleanliness, ensuring the appropriate high standards are maintained at all times.
Assist with the recruitment and selection of Drivers & Passenger Assistants, identifying any resource requirements to the Transport Manager for escalation.
Provide training to 'spare' drivers on seat removal, configuration, and basic vehicle maintenance tasks such as bulb changing, etc.
Support as required with project work, including supporting the fulfilment of ad hoc private work, relating to the depot and transport operation.
Fulfil other reasonable duties as and when requested by the management team, including supporting with driving and/or passenger assistant duties, where able.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Previous transport experience - desirable.
Previous people management experience - desirable.
Sound understanding of computer systems and use of MS Office products - essential.
Adherence to and promotion of Equality policy at all times.
