Assistant Site Manager

The vacancy We're looking for an assistant site manager to ensure we are delivering our construction projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality.
In this role, you'll assist in overseeing site operations, coordinating direct employees and subcontractors, and ensuring that Health & Safety policies are strictly followed to create a safe and efficient work environment.
Your responsibilities will include scheduling tasks to meet production targets while maintaining high-quality standards.
You'll manage subcontractors, suppliers, and utility providers to ensure the project progresses efficiently and aligns with the build program.
Communicating regularly with the site/construction manager on project progress is essential, as is covering the site in the Site Manager's absence to maintain continuity.
You'll also be responsible for ensuring new homes are ready for final inspections, managing the handover process to minimize snagging, and guiding customers through their journey to ensure a seamless experience.
By supporting the construction process, you'll play a key role in keeping costs within budget and adhering to all employee policies to deliver the best results for our business and team.

The role is permanent and full time.
You'll be managing sites across Gloucester and Cheltenham.
Due to the level of travel required, we'll provide you with a company car or cash allowance alternative.
A full UK driving licence and a basic DBS are required.
You will have: Experience in national house building Experience on NHBC or award-winning sites preferred Knowledge of NHBC regulations, standards, and guidelines Familiarity with current building regulations and document submission SMSTS certified CSCS black card holder Full first aid certification TWC certification NVQ Level 6 Flexible, reliable, and willing to travel as needed Proficient in IT The closing date is Sunday 1 December.
