Assistant Service Manager

Join our client as an Assistant Service Manager and support the London North Service office near Leighton Buzzard.
This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of a busy regional office, delivering high levels of customer service and supporting a dedicated team.
Annual salary: Competitive + Bonus Company car Schedule; Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:00 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays The Role: The Assistant Service Manager will: Deputise for the Service Manager in operational duties, including customer account review meetings.
Handle operational duties such as invoicing and quoting for works.
Support the Regional Manager in developing new sales opportunities.
Lead, coach, and support the Service staff team to deliver top-notch customer service.
Manage Service Technicians' activities to meet budgetary targets and customer expectations.
Manage relationships across the Service division to achieve National Service Account KPIs.
Improve data management and process systems in collaboration with the IT department.
Resolve Warranty & Contractual issues with the contracts department.
Support and manage existing customer relationships and develop new opportunities.
Provide hands-on support across all office disciplines for balanced workflow.
The Candidate: The ideal Assistant Service Manager will have: Previous experience in a team leader or assistant manager role.
Proven ability to lead, coach, and support teams effectively.
Flexibility in approach and the ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate with others.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Knowledge of SAP is advantageous but not essential.
