Job summary A rare opportunity has arisenwithin the within Neurodiversity services.
This post would be perfect forsomeone with an interest in supporting service users with neurodiverseconditions which are often found co-morbidly.
You will work with the team,providing needs-led clinical care and required to use skills of person-centredcollaborative working; supporting with assessment, and diagnosis; conditionmanagement and treatment.
The AdultNeurodiversty services working alongside CPG, are welcoming and friendly, sharea common interest and passion for neurodiversty.
The team have a wide range ofskills and qualifications, based at Val Waterfront Centre.
Main duties of the job You will drawon your experience and knowledge to support clinicians completion of neurodiversediagnostic assessments, to enhance your clinical judgement in the assessment anddecision making process.
You will work as part of a team to triage, screen,diagnose and signpost people who may benefit more from alternative/ appropriateservices to meet their individual needs.
You will workalongside clinicians, Assistant Psychologist and other members of the Adultneurodiverse services to partake and deliver group work to clients on thewaiting list and support groups for clients receiving treatment and have adiagnosis of a neurodiverse condition.
You will bepart of an MDT approach and support the triage and screening of referrals,discussions relating to diagnostic assessments and treatment.

Lots of places say that, but wereally mean it.Welike to work with forward-thinking people who want to make a difference.Comeand Join us !Pleasenote: Whilst we value all applications, if we believe an application to be AIgenerated, we will use a checking tool and may reject any application that hasbeen automatically generated.Shouldyou require any assistance in completing this application due to a disabilityor other needs please contact Job description Job responsibilities MAIN DUTIES /RESPONSIBILITIES:- Experienceof working in partnership with service users, carers and other agencies.- To participateand support the assessment process such as information gathering and historytaking, with direct guidance, support and supervision from the Specialist nurse/clinical practitioner- To assistin the formulation and delivery of routine care plans involving thepsychological treatment and/or management of client problems, under the directsupervision of a qualified professional.- To partakein the coordination and running of therapeutic groups where possible.- To form andmaintain relationships with Psychology colleagues, multidisciplinary staffwithin CPG community services and Navigo's Mental Health services.- To assist,under the direct supervision of a qualified professional psychologist, in thedevelopment of a psychologically base- Will beskilled in all aspects of clinical communication including the maintenance ofaccurate records - Will beable to demonstrate excellent prioritisation and workload- Will haveevidence of continuous personal and professional development and be activelyinvolved in case discussions, Referral Allocation Meetings, Multidisciplinaryteam meetings, clinical supervision and clinical audits within the team.- Participatein administration and interpretation of specific assessment tools withassessment and communicate the results to the Multidisciplinary Team.-Explores andanalyses evidence as part of the Multidisciplinary Team, cases and situationsin clinical practice, enabling a high level of judgement and decision makingwith the support and supervision from the Specialist nurse/ Clinicalpractitioner/ Psychologist.- Having agood understanding on assessing and managing riskDemonstratesa good understanding of Safeguarding - Demonstratesethical decision making as part of a Multidisciplinary Team- Contributeto therapeutic interventions to improve service user outcomes- Utilizes ahigh level of communication skill- Activelyinvolves service users and carers in providing feedback of their experience- Has a highlevel of awareness of own values and beliefs and how this impacts on practiceobjectivity- Promotesand influences others to incorporate person centred/values based care intopractice- Works in apositive and constructive way with difference and diversity, incorporating thevalues, views and understanding of individual service users and carers at thecentre of everything we do to deliver care that we would be happy for ourfamily and friends to receive in line with Navigo operational philosophy - Identifywhen to refer to relevant team for non-neurodiverse primary problems identifiedin a timely manner.
Person Specification Qualifications Essential A first class or upper second class honours degree in Psychology.
Entitlement to Graduate Basis for Chartership (GBC) of the British Psychological Society Desirable Further post graduate training in relevant areas of professional psychology, mental health practice and/or research design and analysis.
Additional Criteria Essential Effective communicator with service users, relatives and all members of the multi-disciplinary health care team involved in primary and secondary care Knowledge and understanding of cultural and equal opportunities issues.
An ability to interact effectively with staff from all disciplines.
An ability to interact with people with mental health problems disabilities.
Ability to work reliably and consistently with work agreed and supervised at regular intervals.
Desirable An interest in working with people with complex mental health problems or other disabilities.
Knowledge Essential High level communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to communicate sensitive information to patients, carers and colleagues in a way that addresses psychological resistance.
An understanding of the needs and difficulties of people with complex (step 3 and 4) mental health problems or other disabilities.
An ability to apply existing psychological knowledge to a mental health context An understanding of psychology applied to health care.
Desirable Experience using microcomputers for databases or data-analysis, especially SPSS for Windows.
Experience of using and interpreting psychometric tests and other psychological assessments.
Experience Essential At least 6 months full-time equivalent paid work with people with mental health problems and/or other disabilities, or neurodiversity, under the supervision of a qualified practitioner psychologist.
Desirable Direct psychological care provision for ADHD and or Autistic Spectrum Services.
