Assistant Product Development Manager

Overview To support the Cluster team by leading projects and technical workstreams.
This role is required to work cross functionally to develop products and manage RDQ projects from design through to launch (depending on product category).
This person has leading role in specifications and artwork for the Cluster/MU across all product categories (cluster and central).
Responsibilities Technical project management of NPD & EPD projects in accordance with the agreed procedures to ensure successful and timely delivery of the projectsGood knowledge of key ingredients, supply chains & manufacturing processes through conducting trials & regular contact with suppliers, procurement & SUsProvides accurate technical data throughout allocated projects as well as supporting business reporting and consumer servicesBuild & maintain strong relationships with colleagues in R&D & other functions (MU's, SU's, TQS, Procurement & the Category Marketing).Maintain a constant awareness of competitor activityAwareness of consumer habits, practices, usage, needs & preference drivers within the allocated product area.
Qualifications Relevant Science Degree with 1+ years experience working in a FMCG food businessExperience in specification writing and legal labellingEnglish speaking incl technical languageFull driving licence (travel required)Experience working with a pan-European team or in the frozen food sector is a benefit
