Job summary To assist the practice manager in the day to day running of the practice.
We are a well established practice with a CQC rating good.
Staff retention is high very little turnover.
We offer pension scheme of NHS or Nest.
Free parking on site, Laptop provided for home working 1 day per week.Our team is 3 Gp's 2 nurses, Paramedic Practitioner, Physician Associate, HCA, 5 receptionist and a secretary.
We have aw list size of 7400 patients .
Main duties of the job Ensuringteam members have a clear understanding of work objectives and work withcommitment.Ensuringteams contain a suitable mix of knowledge, skills and experience whereverpossible.Providingteams with the resources they need.Encouragingteam spirit and motivation.Maintainingteam performance even at times of absence or shortage, redeploying staff asnecessary.Delegatingwork activities to team members as appropriate.Completing quality improvement projects About us Free parking.

Job description Job responsibilities Monitoring appointment availabilityboth in advance and one a daily basis and ensuring appropriate action is taken,for example locum cover booked.
Planningwell ahead for absences such as annual leave Regularlyreviewing access arrangements, for example demand surveys, access audits andrecommending changes.
Ensuringadequate levels of all types of staffing.
Monitoringand developing patient services.
Ensuringservice development and delivery is in accordance with contractual andlocal/national guidelines including commissioning Monitoringand maintaining registration policies, monitoring patient turnover and listsize.
Ensuringthat the delivery of practice services in accordance with equality legislationand protects all patients and carers rights.
1.OptimisingResources: IT and informationThe Assistant Practice Manager will be responsible for ensuringthat the practices IT resources (hardware and software and data) areeffectively managed and maintained to protect the integrity of patient recordsand other records and ensure that resources are used to the best benefit ofpatient care.
This will include: Ensuringthat all team members are able to make the most effective use of the technologythey are required to work with.
Ensuringthat data and information are received at the correct time, in the correctformat, are processed accurately in an agreed format, are appropriatelyactioned, are stored securely and are transmitted in a way that ensuresconfidentiality.
Ensuringthe practices compliance with the Data Protection Act and Freedom ofInformation Act, other relevant legislation and professional informationmanagement standards such as GMC guidance.
Implementingand monitoring systems which ensure that patient confidentiality is protectedat all times by all staff, who are aware of their responsibilities.
Ensuringthe practice has systems and processes for effective data processing andmanagement.
Monitoring,evaluating and adjusting the ways in which technology is used in order tobenefit patients and the practice.
Planningfor future adoption of new applications of IT to develop and enhance servicedelivery.
Developand maintain the practice web site/intranet as well as external informationheld on sites such as Person Specification Experience Essential Experience of working in general practice in a similar role would be an advantage, or to have management experience and managed projects
