We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant/Assistant Finance Business Partner to join our team and support Platform Property Care (PPC) in achieving their strategic and business objectives. You'll also work closely with the Finance Business Partner and PPC budget holders, delivering an effective, value-for-money service.This is a fantastic time to join us on our transformation journey to provide a truly modern finance function and help us build a better future in affordable homes, services, and communities. This is a varied role where you will assist with the preparation of the annual PPC budget and will assist on producing accurate accounting information for management and statutory accounts including variance.
A key part of your role will be supporting PPC budget holders, so we're looking for a confident communicator who is passionate about delivering an exceptional, customer-focused service.Please note that this is a part time opportunity working 18.75 Hours per week and attracts a part time salary of between £16,811 to £18,679 per annum (depending on experience). We welcome you to discuss your preferred working days and hours at the interview stage, although some flexibility would be needed to help meet deadlines as required around month end/year end. Some of the things we are looking for:? AAT level 3 (or equivalent) At least one years' experience in accounting in a large and complex organisation with substantial budgets Experience of providing accounting information to challenging deadlines Experience of interpreting information, carrying out research, analysing complex data, appraising performance, and managing risk Well-developed understanding of delivering an excellent customer-based service in a complex organisation with both social and commercial activities Ability to establish strong, sustained working relationships based on respect and effective negotiation and influencing skills While this role is home based, you should have the ability to travel to Group offices and other locations as required (approximately twice a month).
