Our client is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join their expanding team in Henley-on-Thames.

About the Role: As the Assistant Management Accountant, you'll play an essential role in managing financial operations and supporting decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities include: * Preparing monthly management accounts and handling bookkeeping.
* Coordinating with payroll providers and performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
* Managing intercompany balances and maintaining primary responsibility for company banking.
* Preparing statistical returns and cost journals to ensure accurate expense recognition.
* Managing the Fixed Asset register and depreciation schedules.
* Supporting forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning activities.
* Preparing key financial documents, including income statements and balance sheets.
* Conducting analytical reviews to identify performance trends and recommending improvements.
* Handling year-end schedules and managing sales commissions calculations on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
* Monitoring financial controls and improving financial information systems for greater efficiency.
What We're Looking For: To succeed in this role, you should bring: * Intermediate to advanced Excel skills for effective data management.
* A qualified or part-qualified accountant status with 3-5 years' experience in management accounting or a similar role.
* Knowledge of Xero (desirable but not essential).
* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain financial information to colleagues at all levels.
