Job Title: Assistant Head of Inshore BoatingLocation: Weymouth National Boat Centre, Barrack Road, Weymouth, Dorset.

Working with our staff, cadets, and volunteers, we have built a vision and five-year strategy to take us forward and further improve the astounding contribution already made through our work to the lives of thousands of young people and seafarers, while fully supporting our volunteers who are vital to our success.We are currently looking for an Assistant Head of Inshore Boating to join our team.About the role:The Charity deliver life changing opportunities to young people through the challenge and adventure of getting out on the water.
The Assistant Head of Inshore Boating is instrumental in facilitating these experiences as part of a team working to support volunteers and colleagues across the UK, with a focus on our five activities of dinghy sailing, paddlesport, powerboating, rowing and windsurfing.
The post will require experience of dealing with people of all ages/backgrounds, in the management of delivering activities, equipment/facilities and supporting the development of instructors.We are looking for a passionate practitioner, with a background in delivering both on and off the water, and in-depth experience of operating procedures and governing documentation.
Experience of working with young people is essential.Responsibilities: Lead on developing our boating/water sports frameworkSupport volunteer led activity across the UK in delivering life affirming on the water experiences to young people.Support the Head of Inshore in the development and delivery of assurance and safety of Boating.Day to day Line management of the office teamCollaborate with the wider Inshore team to support central training, particularly Instructor Training.
