DSAV develops installations in line with internationally recognised audio-visual standards, such as AVIXA.

Real Living Wage - Currently £12.60 per hour 28 days paid holiday plus time off between Christmas & New Year Northamptonshire Office & UK Wide Travel Deadline 5pm on Friday 17th January 2025 Interviews on Saturday 25th & Monday 27th January 2025 We have the immediate requirement for an Assistant Installation Engineer to join our friendly and passionate team.
Based out of our office in Wellingborough, you will complete projects alongside other engineers across the UK requiring regular overnight stays and extensive travel, and as such a full clean driving license is required.
The work is steady, varied and interesting and as part of a small team you will have a good support network.
As well as a generous basic salary, expenses will be paid, tools provided, professional training courses available and there is potential for career advancement.
The role is based on 40 hours a week, working Monday to Friday 8:30am until 5pm with an unpaid 30 minute lunch break.
Duties of the Assistant Engineer include: Assisting with installation, testing and commissioning of AV projects.
Ensuring projects are completed within specified timescales and in line with expected quality standards.
Transporting, assembling, and disassembling AV equipment.
Using inventory software to manage, coordinate and report on stock, materials, cable usage and tool states.
Ensuring vans are in good working order and stocked with the correct level of consumables.
Carrying out efficient maintenance visits in line with customer service agreements, including administration of asset registers.
Maintaining up-to-date records of all activities through the Company's CRM, such as logging maintenance reports.
Assisting with technical support services and responding promptly to customers.
Providing advice, guidance, training, and support to customers.
Developing and promoting a positive customer service ethic, providing the highest level of customer service to all clients.
Attending all required professional development initiatives and attain all relevant qualifications and accreditations required by the Company.
Developing a grounding in all common AV disciplines: audio, visual, lighting, networking, video conferencing and staying up to date with latest trends and best practices.
Attending regular team meetings and reviews.
Where requested undertaking any other duties that can reasonably be expected to fall within the scope of this role.
Undertaking duties with a full understanding of the Health & Safety implications and ensuring industry standards and safe working practices are always adhered to.

CSCS or ECS Card Relevant experience in an AV or electrical engineering discipline Experience of working in places of worship or historic buildings.
