Job Description In the role of Assistant Director of Sales – MICE, reporting directly to the Director of Sales & Marketing, you will work closely with the Senior Commercial Team to drive business needs and expand existing business through proactive efforts and sales channels. You will develop client engagement levels and a high-performing sales team. Responsibilities include:
Managing and motivating the MICE Sales team to achieve/surpass the sales budget.Preparing and presenting monthly contributions and activities of the MICE proactive & reactive sales team.Contributing to the development of sales and marketing initiatives.Working closely with the MICE Sales Office Manager on availability & pricing strategy.Leading special time-bound projects with strong management and communication.Involvement in the creation and delivery of the hotel's sales & marketing plans.Meeting individual KPIs and managing the team to achieve the same.Managing a select portfolio of accounts.Conducting sales trips and attending trade shows both in the UK and overseas.Assisting with the recruitment process for MICE Sales team members.Reviewing performance regularly and recognizing success.Setting clear expectations and ensuring business strategies are followed.Contributing to management meetings to develop and implement sales initiatives.Cooperating with other departments to create an exceptional Guest experience.Working with the Accor HQ Sales team to develop existing and new relationships.Understanding and reporting on new emerging markets/sectors.Qualifications Personal Attributes Experience in a similar role with a proven track record.Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate a team.Strong analytical skills to understand key business indicators and trends.Excellent selling capabilities and desire to coach selling techniques.Excellent organizational and planning skills.Strong presentation skills with attention to detail.Qualifications Fluency in English, written and spoken is a must.Minimum 2 years' experience in a senior MICE Sales position.Advantageous Capabilities: Knowledge of Local, European & International MICE Markets & Sectors.Third level qualification in a relevant field.Passion for sales and achieving targets.Strong knowledge of Opera & Delphi FDC.Additional Information As part of our team, you can enjoy:
