This is a fixed-term vacancy with a provisional end date of 15/01/2026 About the Fashion Museum Fashion Museum Bath holds one of the world's leading collections of fashion, spanning 400 years of human creativity, from 1600 to the present day.
It is an exciting time for the Fashion Museum as we undertake a major project to open a new state-of-the 21 st -century museum, comprising galleries and learning spaces, and showcasing more of our extraordinary collection than ever before.
About the Role We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Curator to join the Fashion Museum Bath team on a fixed-term 12-month contract.
The main purpose of the job is to provide curatorial support for the research, documentation, access to and care of this unique collection.
A significant part of the role will be focused on research, development and interpretation of the new Fashion Museum.
About You You will have demonstrable research experience and an interest fashion history.
You will understand the importance of, and have strong commitment to, the social function of museums as inclusive spaces which can positively impact the world around them.
Your work schedule will be hybrid, split between the office in Bath, the collections centre in Warminster, and home.
