Due to continuing expansion of our services, we have an excellent career opportunity for an Assistant Contract Manager to join our experienced team based in our Barnsley Office, working 40 hours per week.
The Role: As the Assistant Contract Manager, you will support the Contract Manager in the management and delivery of our M&E & building projects, ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with the specific T&Cs identified within the contract, all international standards and specification governing the works.
To ensure that all works are undertaken to the highest standards and that the demanding needs of the client are fully satisfied, you will further be required to: Assist the Contracts Manager in providing leadership, management and direction in a manner consistent with the Norse Group values.
Responsible and accountable for the efficient and effective management of directly employed labour, subcontractors and agency personnel.
Taking responsibility for P&Ls of project that you manage, ensuring profitability and maximizing efficiency through effective use of technology and effective resource management.
Ensuring the Health and Safety of all employees within the post holders area under the Health and Safety at Work Act and that all practices comply with all relevant Health and Safety legislation requirements.
The Role will require at Times, a hands-on approach with the installation of Electrical Systems as well as office duties.

We are looking for you to display Relevant experience engaged in repairs, maintenance and large construction projects as well as: NVQ Level 3 in related trade or equivalent Current BS qualification.
C&G would be beneficial but not essential.
