Assistant Buyer We're currently recruiting for an Assistant Buyer on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract to join our Group Procurement Team, to provide a high quality procurement service across our business.
Location : Flexible, hybrid role with travel to Rushden, Northamptonshire Contract : Fixed Term Contract (6 months), full-time and able to consider part-time opportunities   Responsibilities   As an Assistant Buyer, your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:                                                                                           Managing ticket requests from the business in line with SLA's.
Raising purchase orders for projects and site teams as requested via internal Systems and ensuring urgent orders are approved by the business in a timely manner.
Benchmarking high value requisitions and recording cost saving, mitigation and lost opportunity.
Negotiation of rates where required and supporting Kier operating units with pricing requests.
What are we looking for?
This role of Assistant Buyer is great for you if you have: Good organisational and administration skills.
An ability to organise and plan effectively in a demanding environment.
Experience of working as part of a team and working from own initiative.
Excellent customer service skills.
Good interpersonal & communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the business.
