Company benefits include:•Starting salary up to £35,000 depending on experience•Office based role with flexibility on start and finish times (start as early as 6am and finish as early as 2:30pm – to suit the individual)•Study support•Company pension•Annual leave entitlement which increases with length of service•Cycle to work scheme•Casual dress•Employee discountsYour New Role as Assistant Accountant:Reporting to the Financial Controller, and working within a friendly team, as Assistant Accountant duties will include:•Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and ad hoc reports•Supporting with the preparation of the monthly management accounts pack•Providing support at year end •Assist with preparing information for internal and external audits•Assist in the preparation and maintenance of ledgers and journals•Support with AP and credit control as required•Responsibility for payroll processing•Communicating with a variety of internal stakeholders to deliver financial insight and advice•Other ad hoc tasks as requiredExperience & Qualifications Required to Apply:The successful candidate will ideally be actively studying CIMA/ACCA or be AAT qualified and keen to continue further study.
Strong systems skills are required, particularly advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLookups) with experience of handling large and complex data sets.
Exposure to month end and management accounting processes is also required, with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and processes.
