About the role: Coleraine area 37.5 hours per week, full-time, permanent Monday to Friday, 9.00 am - 5.00 pm £Negotiable salary & benefits package on offer Employee Benefits: Flexible working (work up hours during the week for an earlier Friday finish) Private healthcare Company pension scheme Annual bonus As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the financial backbone of the business, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the finance department.
This role is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented and enjoys a varied workload.
Your daily activities will include: Financial Management: Handle purchase ledger activities and payments in a multicurrency setting.
Manage sales invoicing, monthly sales reporting, and assist in the preparation of financial statements Reconciliation and Reporting: Perform weekly bank reconciliations, cash flow forecasts, and control accounts.
Contribute to quarterly VAT returns and monthly EC sales and Intrastat reporting Audit and Compliance: Support the year-end financial audit process and maintain stringent control over petty cash and nominal ledger analysis Criteria: Experienced: You bring at least 5 years of accounting experience or hold a relevant accounting qualification Technologically Savvy: Proficient in using Accounting/MRP systems and well-versed in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel Team Player: While self-motivated and able to work independently, you thrive in a small team setting Discreet: You respect privacy and are trusted to maintain confidentiality in all matters Why apply?
