Assistant Accountant - Hybrid

Our client, a fast-growing company based in Pontefract, is seeking a Part-Qualified Assistant Accountant to join their finance team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside an experienced Finance Manager and gain exposure to a broad range of financial activities, helping to shape the future of the business.
Key Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts Support in the preparation of financial statements and year-end processes Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies Prepare and post journal entries Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes Support the Finance Manager with ad-hoc projects Assist with VAT returns Help ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies The Ideal Candidate: Part-qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA (or equivalent) A strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving Benefits: 37.5 hours per week across Monday-Friday Standard holidays + bank holidays Competitive salary + bonus Pension scheme Study package for ACCA or CIMA.
