Job Title: Asset Manager - Renewable Energy (BESS) Location: Remote Reports To: Head of Solar, Storage, & Private Wire Asset Operations Overview We are seeking a skilled Asset Manager to oversee the operational, commercial, and financial performance of a portfolio of renewable energy assets.
This role involves working closely with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) teams and other stakeholders to ensure optimal performance and returns, while also driving continual improvement across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities Operational Oversight: Monitor and improve asset performance, ensuring compliance with all commercial agreements and optimising generation availability.
Stakeholder Management: Maintain strong relationships with investors, engineers, O&M providers, and landowners.
Budget Management: Develop, track, and report on operational budgets, forecasts, and financial variances.
Project Collaboration: Support projects during the development stage to ensure smooth transitions from construction to operation.
Data and Compliance: Maintain accurate records, data management systems, and compliance with insurance policies and contracts such as Power Purchase Agreements.
Continuous Improvement: Implement and refine processes and procedures for effective asset management, driving operational excellence and life extension initiatives.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams to address technical, financial, and commercial challenges, including performance optimisation and major repairs.
Skills and Experience Required A degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, coupled with experience managing energy generation assets.
At least two years of experience in asset management within the energy sector or a similar role in advisory or investment groups.
Strong analytical and numerical skills, with proficiency in data management and reporting tools.
Proven ability to interpret and manage commercial contracts and obligations.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Familiarity with energy markets, regulations, and renewable technologies.
Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
Prior experience with project management or financing of renewable energy projects is advantageous.
