Job Description The M25 is one of our Flagship projects in the UK!
It is the most used part of the UK Strategic Road Network with it seeing over 200,000 vehicles per day and it's a critical infrastructure asset for personal and goods vehicles into and around our capital.
The network includes around 800 structures and 5 tunnels, so it requires high levels of performance, constant improvement and repairs to keep it operating smoothly.
We've formed a Joint Venture project called Connect Plus Services (CPS) to work with our partners to widen, operate and maintain the M25 under a 30-year contract and we are looking for an Asset Delivery Lead to be responsible and accountable for a comprehensive portfolio of linear asset-related works, including inspections, maintenance among other projects.
This will cover pavement, barrier, fencing and drainage assets.
Linear assets form a vital part of the M25 network and deliver a very visible contribution to customer experience.
This role will therefore ensure a predictable and responsive provision for delivery across all these assets.
Your role will focus on safe, predictable delivery against the annual programme, striving to deliver efficiencies in how works are executed.
The role will also require optimising resource utilisation within an organisational matrix to achieve effective and economical outcomes.
Key responsibilities: Safety: Demonstrate high standards of visible safety leadership.
Ensure that the required levels of safety performance are delivered, and that behavioural safety is promoted throughout the teams, based on the principles of Making Safety Personal.
Ensure that the safety culture within the team is strong.
People Leadership: Lead a large team to deliver a portfolio of inspection, maintenance and project outputs, to time and quality.
Ensure the team understand the delivery targets and expectations relevant to them and that productivity is optimised across the team.
Ensure that front-line Maintenance, Inspection and supervision teams are fully engaged and their work is well-managed to support good quality and efficient outputs.
Portfolio Management: Manage and oversee a portfolio of asset inspections, maintenance and projects, ensuring alignment with specific asset requirements and organisational objectives.
Delivery Accountability: Take full responsibility for all aspects of delivery related to the assigned asset type.
This includes scheduling, execution, and completion of inspections, maintenance, and projects to the required timescales and quality Budget Management: Monitor and control the performance against the in-year delivery budget (as well as the overall budget for projects), implementing corrective actions and improvements to maximize financial and operational performance.
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and clients in relation to the specific delivery portfolio.
Escalate critical decisions and unresolved issues as required, ensuring timely and efficient resolution.
Resource Allocation: Working with Inspection, Maintenance and Delivery PMO leads, efficiently draw on and coordinate resources within the organisational matrix to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Reporting and Compliance: Ensure all asset delivery activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Prepare monthly reports on portfolio delivery, presenting these to clients and senior leadership where required.
Qualifications Proven experience in maintenance, project delivery, or a related field.
Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team, preferably within a matrix organisation.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and under pressure.
Familiarity with the industry's safety standards and regulations.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or relevant field OR suitable level of experience in industry Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification Additional Information You must have the right to work in the UK, we are unable to provide sponsorship for this role.
