MPI are currently recruiting for Assembly and Installation Fitters to work on various products for Land systems/deployable infrastructure for our client in Cambridgeshire.
Basic hours 37 per week, Monday to Thursday (07:15 to 15:45) Friday (07:15 to 12:15).
All applicants whose CV’s are approved to go forward will be required to attend an onsite interview/site tour before being accepted.
Overtime is currently available but cannot be guaranteed.
Pay rates as follows:
Basic PAYE £19.12 ph / Umbrella Limited £26.04 phWeek overtime PAYE £28.68 ph / Umbrella Limited £39.04 ph
Job Description
Your responsibilities in this role include:
· To manufacture, assemble and build Marshall specialist projects using engineering drawings and associated design data to meet the business and customer expectations.
· To support the Production Managers and Team Leaders, ensuring that all Marshall Land System projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standard.
· Take an active role in continuous improvements, to include lean and 5s procedures.· Ensure equipment and tooling required is identified to the line manager.· Attend and support production meetings if required.
Apply if you have most of the following or equivalent:
· Mechanical, fitting or joining experience within automotive or heavy industry· Experience in drilling aluminium assemblies and components, along with installation of blind rivets using pneumatic rivet guns.· Completed a City and Guilds Apprenticeship or equivalent in Vehicle Body Building, Mechanical Fitting or a Manufacturing and Assembly Qualification. · Competent skills gained through training and experience and ability to communicate within team.· Understanding of policies and procedures required within a workshop environment· Understanding of Production methods and processes.· Competent understanding and ability to read engineering drawings and associated design data.
