Are you keen to gain experience for children who have SEN, especially mental health issues?
We are looking for a dedicated Aspiring Psychologist to support children with moderate learning difficulties and, additional mental health needs.
This school is based in Hastings for children aged 6-16 and has speciailised in SEMH to provide exceptional education and, provide extra help for traumatised children and, young people.
You will be helping children who have come from trauma/neglected backgrounds, challenging behaviour, ADHD or Autism and, also have developed mental health issues due to their needs and, require additional support with improving social, emotional and mental well-being.

You will make a real difference to the lives of the children.Responsibilities of an Aspiring Psychologist: Assist the class teacher in providing the learning experience of students.
Ability to perform conflict resolution and de-escalation.
Behaviour and pastoral support.
Take an active role in forward planning with therapists.
Practical approach to meet the individual needs of students.
Willing to work 1:1 and in small groups with students.
Ensure safeguarding of students, in line with procedures.Requirements of an Aspiring Psychologist: Impose patience and, understanding.
Have an understanding with challenging behaviour.
Always be adaptable in any give situation.
To be able to develop trusting and positive relationships with students.
A psychology degree is desirable but, not necessary.
