Job summary We are looking to recruit an Aseptic Services Technician to work in our busy but friendly team based at Basingstoke Hospital.
The role involves assisting in the cleanroom supervision, product assembly and preparation of aseptically prepared drugs.
Main duties of the job The role involves working as a cleanroom supervisor to ensure GMP operator compliance and the smooth running of the isolators and cleanrooms according to the local SOP's.Product assembly and preparation and dispensing of aseptically prepared products.Ordering of dose banded products and patient specific medications in line with regional contract framework agreements.Pre and in-process product checking.You must be willing to work hard, have a good attention to detail, and be able to work as part of a team.
A good level of physical fitness is required as the role does involve some manual effort.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Registered Pharmacy Technician in UK with General Pharmaceutical Council OR Registration in Science Manufacturing (Level 3 Diploma in Principles of Aseptic Pharmaceuticals processing) Technician in UK with Science Council Must hold an accredited Pre and In-Process Checking qualification or have completed the qualification within 12 months of commencement of post (post would be offered as progressional Band 4/5 post) Desirable Completion of Practice Supervisor/ Educational Supervisor Programme or equivalent Experience & Knowledge Essential Experience of working within an Aseptic Services Have a higher level of knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice Experience of staff management or operational workload supervision Desirable Previous experience with pharmacy computer systems Aria / Wellsky Stock control or Procurement Experience Skills & Ability Essential Good written & verbal communication skills Ability to prioritise work and manage time effectively High attention to detail / good level of accuracy To act as a role model and mentor to junior staff Display qualities as detailed in the Trust iCARE values Desirable Experience of teaching and supervision of trainees
