Asc Outreach Worker - Mayfield Special School (Chestnut Centre)

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic practitioner for the position of Outreach Worker for children with ASC.
The Mayfield Chestnut Outreach team work with children, key adults and parents within schools to enable the child to reach their full potential and to remain in Mainstream education.
You will have:?•Evidence of being highly effective at forming relationships with both children and adults?A passion for working with children with Social Emotional Mental Health difficulties, ASC and associated challenging behavioursA drive for improving the outcomes of the children in your care?Teaching assistant experience (SEN/SEMH/ASC) An understanding of communication, emotional and social needs and Autistic Spectrum Condition.An ability to model and embed effective strategies to support children to be included in their education.Knowledge and experience of using a trauma informed approach and/The Boxall Profile or Motional, in supporting children would be a distinct advantage.
The position is for 30 hours per week, Monday - Friday, term time only (39 working weeks of the year).
