Job summary We are currently looking for someone to join us as an ArtTherapist and Life Celebration Co-ordinator, this is a part time role (hours per week) and is on a fixed term basis for 6 months.This role is part of the Patient and Family Support team andwill work across the Charitys services to assess the psychological, emotional,social and spiritual needs of patients and family members and implement andoversee suitable creative therapeutic interventions, with a focus on visualarts and life celebration/reminiscence work.
Main duties of the job Main duties will include:Working with patients and families to identifytheir therapeutic goals To support patients and family members whoaccess our Hospice services to create life celebration work through a range ofdifferent media letters to family, memory boxes etc.To hold own caseload of creative therapyreferrals and supervise volunteers and students to deliver interventions To support patients and family members whoaccess our Hospice services to create life celebration work through a range ofdifferent media.To work with the Bereavement Lead to developbereavement support services for children and young people.Actively contribute to multidisciplinarydiscussions and patient care planning and proactively anticipate likely needsof complex caseload About us Founded in 1981, Arthur Rank Hospice supports people living in Cambridgeshire with an advanced serious illness or a life-limiting condition and those in need of end-of-life care.We care foraround 3,600 patients each yearat our Hospice in Cambridgeshire, the Alan Hudson Day Treatment Centre in Wisbech and in patients' own homes via the Arthur Rank Community Team.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential A recognised post graduate qualification in Art Therapy, or equivalent Registration with HCPC Experience Essential Demonstrable experience of working in a healthcare setting Experience of working in a palliative care setting and/or with grief and loss Able to evidence insight into the experience of working with children and young people Other Essential Driving License and access to a car
