Art Teacher Responsibilities: Develop and deliver a creative and engaging art curriculum that aligns with national standards and fosters a love of art.
Use a variety of teaching methods to engage students of different abilities, inspiring curiosity and exploration in the visual arts.
Plan and conduct assessments to evaluate students progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
Create an inclusive and encouraging classroom environment that values each student s artistic perspective and ideas.
Collaborate with the arts department and other faculty members to promote interdisciplinary projects and showcase student work within the school community.
Art Teacher Requirements: PGCE in Secondary Art with QTS or other UK-recognised teaching qualification.
Recent experience teaching Art at the GCSE level (within the last two years).
Proven ability to inspire students and instill a love for the visual arts.
Strong knowledge of the art curriculum and effective classroom management skills.
Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Hold a Child Only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one.
This role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and the successful applicant must pass all safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
