Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and hands-on Studio Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of our studio.
The ideal candidate will have experience in both canvas stretching and printmaking, as well as a good understanding of stock management and customer relationship management software, ideally Artlogic or similar.
You will play a key role in assisting the artist with the production of artworks, managing studio logistics, ensuring amazing client services, maintaining stock and databases, processing orders, and developing the junior team.
Key Responsibilities: Art Production Support: - Assist the artist with the preparation and production of artworks, including canvas stretching, printing edition works on paper, and other studio tasks.
- Ensure all materials and equipment are stocked and organised for smooth production processes, and keeping to deadlines.
Studio Management: - Organise and maintain a tidy, efficient, and well-stocked studio space.
- Manage and update the inventory of art, materials,and tools.
- Implement studio workflows to ensure the timely completion of projects.
Database and Stock Management: - Manage the studio's stock of artworks, supplies, and materials.
- Maintain and update the customer and stock database using Artlogic software, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date.
Team Management: - Supervise, train, and develop junior members of staff and interns, ensuring they are engaged and performing their duties effectively.
- Delegate tasks, provide feedback, and cultivate a positive, collaborative studio environment.
Order Processing: - Process incoming orders, liaising with clients, galleries, and collectors to ensure timely delivery of artworks.
- Coordinate with shipping partners, handling logistics and documentation to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of artworks.
Studio Coordination: - Act as the main point of contact for internal and external communications related to the studio's daily operations.
- Handle scheduling and correspondence on behalf of the artist, managing appointments and deadlines.
Social media / Mailchimp support for marketing: -Assist in creating and scheduling social media content, managing content calendars, and tracking engagement.
-Support Mailchimp campaigns by drafting emails, updating subscriber lists, and preparing performance reports to enhance brand outreach.
Public Art Proposal Support -Assist in creating and organising public art proposal decks, including gathering visuals, drafting descriptions, formatting presentations, and ensuring all materials meet submission guidelines.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): - Efficient and timely production of artworks to a high standard.
- Accuracy and organisation of stock and customer databases using Artlogic.
- Effective management and development of junior staff and interns.
- Smooth and timely processing of orders, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Maintenance of an organised and well-functioning studio space.
Qualifications: - Experience in art production, including canvas stretching and printmaking.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Must have experience using Adobe photoshop and relevant software - Experience with Artlogic or similar database management software.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Previous experience in managing a team or mentoring interns is a plus.
