Job summary Job location: GP Practices Sutton BoroughARRS GP:GP must be within 2 years of their CCT anniversary and must not have held substantive employment before.Due to the changes in the ARRS Scheme to introduce General Practitioners we arelooking to expand our team by seeking to employ a newly qualified General Practitionerto work alongside our practices and PCN staff.Sutton PCN is looking for GPs to work under the Additional Role Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS) to work in Primary Care Hub setting.
In accordance with the Extended Access hours and Enhanced Access Contracts, the post-holder will make him/her-self available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries.

Main duties of the job In accordance with the Extended Access working pattern and Enhanced Access Contracts, the post-holder will make him/herself available to undertake a variety of duties includingsurgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries.Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems,whether self-referred or referred to by other health care workers.Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated andundiagnosed problems.Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.In consultation with patients and in line with current National and Local diseasemanagement protocols, developing care plans for health.Providing relevant and appropriate health education.
Referring to other care providers as appropriate.Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.Complying with QOF requirements.Prescribing in accordance with the SWL prescribing formulary (or generically)whenever this is clinically appropriate.In general, the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties andresponsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care, recognising the keydifference of hub working.

Person Specification Knowledge and Skills Essential Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload; Proficient in the use of EMIS, DART; Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills; Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team; Ability to work with limited supervision; Understanding of the pressures faced by GPs and healthcare teams; Willingness to contribute to and participate in a peer support group; Appropriate representation with a recognised medical defence organisation; Current DBS check (undertaken less than 6 months before the date of appointment); Proven ability to offer support within a clinical team and share learning points in Practice meetings; Ability to draft cogent, error-free letters and reports in a timely manner; A good understanding of GMS contracting requirements and the operation of the Quality Outcomes Framework process (QOF and QMAS); Experience of delivering QOF objectives Qualifications Essential Fully trained GP; Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice in General Practice.
