The Arranging Support Advisor role within Adult Social Care and Health, is an exciting opportunity to shape services that make a real difference to people's lives.
We are looking for people with energy and drive to join us in leading the introduction of a new way of working.You will be part of a small team working under Devon County Council's new Hybrid Working Model, after training you will be able to work from multiple locations, in the community providing advice to social care professionals, health workers and members of the public who have chosen to arrange their own support, with partner agencies and providers, as well as with the wider team in Newton Abbot.This post requires you to:be able to undertake an analysis of information, investigate and interrogate systems to understand a complete picture of a person's needs and consider options available to them, before supporting care managers with recommendations and options.build relationships with professionals and providersafter training, work without direct supervisionevidence good interpersonal and communication skillsdevelop a knowledge of the providers in the local community and actively engage providers to develop their servicesThe ability to present information about the cost and benefits of services is also important and you will be confident in your ability to communicate your ideas to your immediate and the wider Advisor team.You will develop a working knowledge of providers within your area through proactive contact and visits.
You will link in with commissioning colleagues to share market intelligence to better inform new service design and to facilitate better support of current and new providers.Please note: The interview process will also include occupational testing prior to the interview, the scores from this will be combined with the interview scoring.
