Architectural Technician or Technologist Salary dependent on experience + generous benefits package Gargrave, North Yorkshire – office based Full time About The Company: Our client is a dynamic, design-led architectural practice based in the picturesque village of Gargrave, North Yorkshire.
They specialise in a diverse range of residential projects, including barn conversions, listed building renovations, house extensions, and new builds, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and quality design.
Position Overview: The company are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Architectural Technician/Technologist to join the team.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and a keen eye for detail, with experience in working on a variety of residential projects from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities but not limited to: Assist in the preparation and development of detailed technical drawings and specifications for construction projects.
Collaborate with architects and other team members to ensure designs are technically feasible and meet regulatory standards.
Conduct site visits and surveys to gather essential information for project development.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and consultants to ensure smooth project delivery.
Utilise CAD software and other relevant tools to produce accurate and high-quality technical documentation.
Ensure compliance with building regulations and standards.
Provide technical support and guidance throughout the construction process.
Qualifications: Degree or diploma in Architectural Technology or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within an architectural practice.
Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant design tools.
Competent in Microsoft Office.
Skilled in writing NBS specifications and technical detailing.
Strong understanding of building regulations and British Standards.
Knowledge of UK planning legislation.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Desirable: Professional registration with Charted Institute of Architectural Technologists.
Living within commuting distance of Gargrave.
