Apprenticeship & Widening Access & Participation Manager

Job summary The Apprenticeship and Widening Access and Participation Manager manages relationships with a portfolio of NHS organisations across the Midlands region.
They will have responsibility for influencing a strategic approach for apprenticeships, widening access and participation, within this portfolio and will influence ICS Systems and NHS organisations and Primary Care to deliver against their objectives, collate data and produce reports to further the apprenticeship and widening participation agenda.
Main duties of the job Supporting NHS employers in the Midlands to grow their apprenticeship programmes across all professions via a consistent and quality approach that ensures apprenticeships are providing a return on the NHS investment.Work with a portfolio of NHS Trusts, ICSs and key external stakeholders in the Midlands to influence system and regional workforce and apprenticeship plans - advising employers on strategies, existing best practice and offering expertise on the appropriate apprenticeship standards.Maximise the use of the levy for NHS Trusts by considering all career paths and roles that NHS Trusts could benefit from and influence the process for new and existing staff by engaging decision makers appropriately, in partnership with NHS Trusts, ICS's and NHSE Professional & Regional LeadsSupport implementation of widening access and participation activity at scale across systems and the wider Midlands region by facilitating collaborative working between employers and education providers.

Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.
NHS England hold a Sponsor Licence; this means that we may be able to sponsor you providing the Home Office requirements are met.
To be eligible for sponsorship through the Skilled Worker route you'll usually need to be paid the 'standard' salary rate of at least £38,700 per year, or the 'going rate' for your job, whichever is higher.
