Overview: This esteemed institution seeks an Apprenticeship Mentor to support and guide learners through their training and qualification pathways, building positive, productive relationships with both learners and employers.

Key Responsibilities of the Apprenticeship Mentor: Manage a Caseload: Oversee a group of learners, providing high-quality training, coaching, mentoring, and assessment to ensure timely completion of apprenticeships/qualifications.
Primary Contact: Act as the main liaison for learners and employers, fostering strong, supportive relationships.
Initial Assessment and Planning: Conduct initial assessments to determine learner readiness and create tailored individual learning plans.
Training and Coaching: Design and deliver effective training and coaching, covering KSBs comprehensively, both at college and employer sites.
Gateway and EPA Preparation: Ensure learners are prepared for the Gateway and End Point Assessment with clear communication and guidance.
Feedback and Progress Monitoring: Conduct review meetings, set and monitor targets, and provide constructive feedback to support learner progression.
Record Keeping and Compliance: Maintain accurate records and adhere to college and awarding body standards.
Support for English, Maths, and Digital Skills: Facilitate learner development in core skills and promote access to wellbeing and career resources.
Health and Safety and Safeguarding: Uphold health and safety standards and promote safeguarding and Prevent principles.
Skills and Experience required for the Apprenticeship Mentor: Essential: GCSE grade 4 (C) or equivalent in Maths and English.
Relevant Level 3 qualification and commitment to continuous professional development.
Recent vocational experience and effective caseload management.
Strong communication, organisational, and time management skills.
IT proficiency and a keen eye for detail.
Desirable: Familiarity with current apprenticeship standards, KSBs, and EPA requirements.
Professional experience liaising with employers.
Special Conditions: Flexibility for evening, weekend, and holiday work when necessary.
Must have a valid driving licence with business insurance or alternative transport options for travel between sites.
