Job Introduction About the role Are you passionate about vehicle maintenance and repair?

We're looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice Vehicle Technician to join our team and gain valuable skills while working on a wide range of vehicles.
As a Apprentice Vehicle Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet.
You'll actively participate in the repair and maintenance of HGVs, LGVs, low loaders, sweepers, and more, keeping them in top condition for operational use.
Please note that with Tarmac this role is titled Trainee Workshop Fitter Role Responsibility In this role, you will: Perform basic maintenance and inspections of various vehicles, including HGVs, LGVs, sweepers, and low loaders.
Assist in ensuring vehicles meet required standards for safe operational use.
Help maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment.
Contribute to fostering a culture of Health and Safety excellence, role modelling safe behaviours.
Take pride in your work, demonstrating determination and a commitment to high standards.
Attend college to complete your Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician Qualification, building a strong foundation for your career.
The Ideal Candidate To succeed in this role, you should be: Enthusiastic about vehicle maintenance and the building materials industry.
Keen to study and achieve a Level 3 Heavy Vehicle and Maintenance Technician qualification.
Committed to working safely and promoting safety in your environment.
A team player who supports workshop and operational goals.
Eager to learn, with a strong desire to develop skills in vehicle and plant maintenance.
Improvement-focused, always looking for ways to innovate and work more efficiently.
Educational Requirements GCSEs (A-C / 9-4) in both English and Maths.
OR Level 2 in English and Maths (or Level 1 with a commitment to achieving Level 2 during the apprenticeship).
